If you purchase a ParadoxLabs extension from Magento Marketplace and then click the 'Download' button, you will encounter an error like "Missing package ParadoxLabs_TokenBase" when you run setup. You can't install Marketplace extensions that way.
You must install the extension using composer, in SSH.
You will not be able to install to app/code.

If this installation method is a problem for you, you can purchase from store.paradoxlabs.com instead. The store download includes all of the files necessary to install to app/code.
