The short answer is you can't, but you shouldn't need to.
You do have some control over what shows up in checkout: Change "Allow cards to not be stored" to No, and 'Save payment info' checkboxes will no longer appear -- the card will be stored automatically.
All data storage in our extensions is done in a PCI compliant way, and card saving powers advanced payment features. This includes:
- The ability to invoice an order multiple times (partial capture);
- The ability to refund an order multiple times (partial refund);
- The ability to edit an order and reuse the original payment info;
- The ability to reorder and reuse the original payment info;
- The ability to invoice and capture payment even after an authorization has expired.
Card saving/storage/tokenization is an integral part of our extensions. We perform all payment transactions on securely stored card info in the associated gateway service (CIM, TMS, TransArmor, etc.). No confidential cardholder information is stored on the Magento server.
For more details on how card data is handled, please check the specific extensions PCI scope in our knowledge base.
Every card that the customer does not opt into saving will be automatically purged from all systems once the refund period has passed (4-6 months). This minimizes the amount of cards you're storing, without affecting your ability to process transactions.
If you still need tokenless payment processing, we recommend trying other solutions on the Adobe Commerce Marketplace.
